Overthinking is Not a Personality Trait

Hey Gorgeous (and Fellas, I see you too), Have you ever stared at your ceiling at 2 AM, replaying a conversation from 2017, wondering if you could’ve said something better?

Hey Gorgeous (Fellas, I see you too),

Have you ever stared at your ceiling at 2 AM, replaying a conversation from 2017, wondering if you could’ve said something better? Or worse—you’re paralyzed by decisions you haven’t even made yet? If overthinking burned calories, we’d all have six-packs.

As an esthetician (who has mastered the art of snatching brows and, now, untangling thoughts), I talk to so many women who are exhausting themselves by living in their heads. We overanalyse until we do absolutely nothing. Like that one client who insists on growing her brows out but never books the lamination appointment—girl, at some point, you gotta take action.

Overthinking: The Mental Ingrown Hair

Did you know that 73% of adults aged 25-35 are chronic overthinkers? Even 52% of adults 45-55 aren’t safe from this nonsense. (edexec.co.uk) And all this overanalyzing isn’t harmless—it leads to stress, anxiety, and even physical symptoms like headaches and insomnia. (houstonmethodist.org)

Stop Waiting Until the Breakout is Out of Control

Let’s be real—some of you won’t see a therapist until your brain is throwing a full-on tantrum, like ignoring your skin until you’re booking an emergency facial. Why wait? Therapy isn’t just for people in crisis—it’s for anyone who wants to stop overcomplicating life.

75% of people who seek therapy see improvement. That’s better odds than trying a new skincare routine without reading the ingredients. (psychiatry.org)

Now, before you roll your eyes and say, “Therapy? Isn’t that for people with ‘real’ problems?”—hear me out. Therapy isn’t about lying on a couch while someone with a notepad judges your life choices. It’s about decluttering that beautiful mind of yours and gaining clarity.

Sis, Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Life

Stop putting a full stop where there should be a comma. You don’t need to have it all figured out, but you do need to take action. Talk to someone. Unpack the chaos. Get out of your own way.

You book facials, you invest in skincare, you get your brows done—why not invest in your mind too?

Until next time—stay flawless and stop overthinking,
